Tehran (IP) - Iran’s First Vice President announced his country’s readiness to share its experience with Iraq on fighting against coronavirus.

Iran PressIran news: In a phone conversation with the Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kazemi on Thursday, Eshaq Jahangiri highlighted the Iraqi and Iranian measures and achievements in controlling the coronavirus.

Jahangiri stressed the two countries' health ministries’ need for close cooperation and said Iran is ready to share its experience with the Iraqi government on the corona.

The Islamic Republic of Iran has always emphasized its support for Iraq’s independence, national sovereignty, and territorial integrity, the political stability, and the return of the country to its regional role, the Iranian senior official said.

Jahangiri also addressed other issues such as Palestine, the non-oil economy, and the exit of the US from Iraq.

Mustafa al-Kazemi for his part stressed the need for turning the different points between the two countries to commonalities and strengthening them.

He asserted that Iraq and Iran’s cooperation must be strengthened more than before so that the two countries can overcome the challenges ahead, such as the coronavirus, reduction of oil prices, and economic challenges.
