Mashhad (IP) - Monday, May 18, 2020, is the World Day of Museum and Cultural Heritage the expansion of which has played an important role in the development of countries’ civilization in cultural, scientific, and historical areas.

Iran Press/Iran News: Nader Shah Afshar Garden Museum and Tomb with a special cultural symbol is one of the most visited museums in Iran’s Mashhad, the capital of Khorasan Razavi province, northeast of the country.

Nader Shah Afshar was born in 1100 AH (1689 AD) in Dargaz, northeastern Iran, became the king of Iran in 1148 AH (1736 AD), and was killed in 1160 (1747 AD) in Quchan, northeastern Iran.

The Naderi Museum is a symbol of the tent, as Nader Shah lived mainly in tent. During his lifetime, Nader took part in 1,250 wars and is considered as one of the world's three military geniuses (Alexander the Great, Napoleon Bonaparte and Nader Shah Afshar).War tools, a number of Nader-era coins, and Safavid-era artillery are kept in the garden area of the Naderi Museum. 

In 2019, 1.3 million people visited the museums of Khorasan Razavi province, especially on World Museum Day.
