The Chief of Staff of Iran’s Armed Forces, Major General Mohammad Bagheri

Tehran (IP) - The Chief of Staff of Iran’s Armed Forces said the Coronavirus crisis must turn to an opportunity and reported the preparation of 4,200 more beds for the corona-infected patients.

Iran PressIran News: Major General Mohammad Bagheri who attended the meeting of Imam Reza Medical and Treatment Headquarters on Sunday said with the 4,200 beds added, the capacity of the prepared convalescent care beds has increased to over 11,000.

Major General Bagheri also referred to the national screening project being conducted by Basij Medical Society along with other agencies, reporting that 58 million Iranians have been screened.

Pointing out to the contribution of the national screening project in the treatment of the coronavirus infected patients, he said the suspected individuals were called to and guided for going to hospitals or house-quarantine.

The top commander noted that from the beginning of its formation on the order of the Leader of Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, Imam Reza (AS) Medical and Treatment Headquarters developed its activities through the mobilization of all facilities.
