Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei

Tehran (IP) - On the occasion of the birthday anniversary of Qamar Bani Hashim (Hazrat Abbas ibn Ali (AS) and "War-disabled Day" in Iran, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei hailed the respected disabled war veterans of the Islamic Revolution.

Iran PressIran News: In a message on Sunday coincided with the birthday anniversary of the Hazrat Abbas ibn Ali (AS) the honorable son of Imam Ali, the first Imam of Shias, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution extended his congratulations to the disabled war veterans, felicitating them as "alive martyrs" and wished them good health, dignity, and steadfastness.

The Disabled Veterans Day is celebrated every year on the birthday anniversary of Abbas ibn Ali, Imam Hossein’s brother and a key figure in the Battle of Karbala.

Every year, representatives of the Leader would go visit the injured veterans across the country but this year as the country is fighting the novel coronavirus outbreak and the need for implementation of social distancing, the visits have been canceled.
