Iran Press/ Iran news: Reacting to US threats against IRGC commanders, Major General Hossein Salami said on Monday that those who threaten Iranian military commanders will regret their actions.
"The enemies of the Islamic Republic should know that if they threaten to assassinate Iranian military commanders, none of their senior commanders and staff will be safe," General Salami noted.
Pointing to US failures in different fields against Iran including the military and economic wars, General Salami said: "When the US failed to deprive Iran of access to peaceful nuclear technology, it opted for assassination of Iranian nuclear scientists, and when it failed in the political, economic, psychological, and military spheres, it turned to assassinating military commanders."
"The US crime of assassinating the late commander of IRGC's Quds Force Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani, and its subsequent threat to assassinate his successor Brigadier General Ismail Qa'ani is an important part of the fact that the US and Israel are terrorist regimes," he added.
He also warned that if the enemies continue their destructive actions, they will face "an uncontrollable situation".
