Iran Press/ Iran news: Having traveled to Northern county of Astara, Eslami referred to the new agreement signed by the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Republic of Azerbaijan over Baku-Astara Highway, saying that the new bridge over Baku-Astara Highway is going to be commenced in a week so that it can get connected to Iran's internal roads.
He also stressed the fact that Iran's Northern ports have also played an important role in connecting North-South, East-West corridors. Iran's ports of Anzali and Astara 's share of Iran's transit market is significant. The 204-kilometer Baku-Astara Highway was opened in September 2018 and the two sides are after development of the mutual route.205
