Iran Press/Iran News: Iran's Army in a statement on the eve of the National Defence Industry Day on Wednesday hailed the military achievements of Iran despite continued sanctions imposed on the country by the enemies over the past four decades.
The Iranian Army has been able to create, with the assistance of its young scientists, numerous academic and research centres within the Ministry of Defence and bring fundamental changes and the necessary reforms in the design and production of defence equipment to cope with the situation of threats, the statement said according to Iran Press.
The country has been able to meet its needs in the land, air, and sea so that the enemies have been surprised, the statement added.
It expressed hope that the Army will remove any obstacles hindering the achievement of the lofty goals of the Islamic Revolution, in the second phase of the Revolution, with reliance on young people and scientists, as it did during the eight years of Iraqi-imposed war against Iran (1980-88).
The statement said that Iran’s multiple kinds of precision-guided missiles, in which technologies have been used which are innovative and unknown to the world, have prevented any adventurist action of hegemonic powers against the country.
Islamic Revolution Guard Corps
Also, the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) in a statement issued on the same occasion said that Iran’s defence achievements and capabilities in ground, sea, and aerospace have transformed the country into a top and unrivalled regional power, compared to trans-regional states.
IRGC said after the victory of the Islamic Revolution, Iran’s defence industries have entered an era demonstrating the country's greatness, dynamism, agility, and skill and realising the demands of the armed forces.
The statement also referred to the rise in producing capacities of the IRGC in various fields such as growth in knowledge-based networks, more access to advanced systems and strategic defence technologies.
The IRGC went on to say that Iranian defensive achievements in ground, sea, and aerospace is based on modern standards and are in-line with threats against the country.
On the international scene, Iran has also been able to play a strategic role in proxy wars in the fight against terrorists.
Meanwhile, the commander of Iran's Navy Rear Admiral, Hossein Khanzadi on the eve of the National Defence Industry Day said that the achievements of the Navy are "strategic and deterrent" and have made the Navy self-sufficient in providing needed equipment.

Speaking in the central city of Yazd on the occasion of National Defense Industry Day, the Rear Admiral said that the issue of security is a very complicated and important one, and the absence of security means no economic or social achievements could be reached.
Thanks to the Islamic Revolution, Iran has enjoyed full security for four decades and with a glance at the neighbouring countries, like Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan, and Pakistan, the fact can be fully realised, Khanzadi said.
Pointing to Iran's geopolitical importance in the world which is the cause of arrogant powers' animosity towards it, the official stressed that the arrogant powers are angry because they lost control over Iran with the victory of the Islamic Revolution in 1979.
