Iranian foreign ministry spokesman Bahram Ghasemi also assessed as positive the recent statements made by Kuwaiti Defense Minister Sheikh Nasser Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah on the need for interaction and cooperation with the Islamic Republic of Iran.
"Iran sees ties and cooperation with its neighbors as the first priority of its foreign policy. The Islamic Republic believes that a developed and safe region can be achieved only through collective contribution and cooperation of all neighboring states", Ghasemi added.
"In today's world, welfare, development and economic progress of regional countries can be achieved by means of collective mechanism, setting aside differences through dialogue and contribution of all countries of the region and to this end the Islamic Republic has always be ready to move in this direction", Iranian foreign ministry spokesman concluded.
