Tehran (IP) - The foreign ministers of Iran and Azerbaijan discussed the latest developments in bilateral relations and regional issues in a telephone conversation.

Iran PressIran news: Iran's Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov held a telephone conversation on Sunday and discussed the bilateral issues.

The issues related to the latest meetings of the joint heads of the State Commission of Azerbaijan and Iran in economic cooperation, trade, humanitarian affairs, and subsequent actions were discussed.

After the 44-day war between Armenia and Azerbaijan in the Nagorno-Karabakh region in 2020, the two countries signed a ceasefire agreement with the mediation of Russia, and following that, parts of the region were handed over to Azerbaijan.

Despite signing the ceasefire agreement, the tension affected the two countries' relations.

Both parties repeatedly keep accusing each other of violating the ceasefire.

According to the reports in the media, the forces of the Azerbaijan Army have moved tanks and artillery units since September 5.
