Tehran(IP)- The spokesperson Foreign Ministry stated: Iran hopes that within the framework of the ongoing efforts based on the necessity of reforming the relations between the neighboring countries of Syria and Turkey, these efforts will lead to the result.

In response to Iran Press's question about Iran's role in improving relations between Damascus and Ankara, the spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said: Part of our negotiations with Syria are bilateral issues.

The other part monitors the state of the political process in this country and the process of fighting against terrorism, and the other part monitors regional and international issues.

Iran's continuous efforts to create the best conditions for resolving the differences between Syria and Turkiye and resuming official relations between the two countries,he pointed.Referring to the visit of the Minister of Foreign Affairs to Syria, he said: both in Damascus and in yesterday's talks with the Turkish counterpart, these issues were discussed and exchanged.

Spox: We do not interfere in the internal affairs of Iraq and developments in Kirkuk

The spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the Islamic Republic has no interference in the internal affairs of Iraq and that it is the Iraqi government that is responsible for internal affairs and creating security and stability in this country.

Speaking at his weekly news conference in Tehran, Nasser Kanaani added: In light of the conditions that have been witnessed in Iraq over the past few years, there are reasons for conflicts and instabilities to arise. While Baghdad has pledged to fulfill its responsibilities, recent developments in Kirkuk have also demonstrated the timely efforts and actions taken by the Iraqi government.

He also stated, "Our priority is to support security, stability, and internal security, as well as aid the central government's efforts to stabilize security in Kirkuk. We have not and will not interfere in Iraq's internal affairs."

In response to the rapprochement between Iran and the Arab countries and Israel's threats against Iran, he said that the development of relations with friendly countries in the region has been declared as a principle, but in the dialogue with the Arab countries, he considers the Palestinian issue as a central issue and supports it.

Kanaani stated that the Islamic Republic views the Israeli regime as illegitimate and considers its presence in the region as a source of insecurity. The support of Palestine's resistance is a fundamental principle to us, and we are committed to continuing to provide support to the resistance.

Iran seeking to enhance trade ties with interested countries, spox says

The spokesman of Iran's Foreign Ministry Nasser Kannani says in line with its missions, the Foreign Ministry seeks to develop relations with countries that are willing to expand relations with Iran within the framework of mutual benefits.

In his presser on Monday, Kanaani noted, "The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is responsible for the regulation and implementation of foreign policy. In the Raisi Administration, it was decided that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs should serve in the development of economic diplomacy, and in the field of political relations, we are witnessing the improvement of Iran's political position in regional and international affairs.

In the field of economic relations, a part of these efforts focuses on the development of bilateral relations with friendly countries interested in the development of trade and economic relations, especially with neighbors. For this, Iran should join regional and international organizations.

Referring to Iran's efforts to join the BRICS, he said: Another part of the efforts focused on the preparation of long-term cooperation documents and agreements with friendly countries. We followed this in the framework of signing long-term comprehensive cooperation documents with a number of countries, and it has been achieved, that these documents can be a roadmap for Iran's comprehensive cooperation with friendly countries.

These have made significant achievements in promoting Iran's trade and economic relations and considering the nature of cooperation, these documents roadmaps, and legal frameworks that were created can lead us to tangible results in the medium and long term. Undoubtedly, it will have a significant impact on people's daily lives

The spokesman also said about the end of the September Deal and the agreement between Iran and the United States, which the foreign minister rejected, "The September Deal is not considered a new document, in fact, it was the same process as the Iran and 4+1 talks."

"The last draft of the JCPOA negotiations in September 2022 was ready to be concluded and all parties' return to the JCPOA agreement, but the US government and its European allies made a miscalculation regarding the disturbances in Iran and the developments in Ukraine and missed the opportunity and refused the opportunity to finalize it.

They once again showed that they do not have the necessary political will for all parties to return to the agreement and they are not willing to assume their obligations responsibly," the diplomat stated.
