The Islamic Republic of Iran's mission to the United Nations announced that Tehran has not and will not participate in the indirect ceasefire talks between Israel and Hamas, mediated by Egypt, Qatar and the United States.

Iran Press/America: Iran’s permanent mission to the United Nations said on Tuesday, “We have not engaged in the indirect ceasefire negotiations between Hamas and the regime, facilitated by Egypt, Qatar, and the U.S., and hold no intention for involvement in such negotiations.”

The response was given to reporters seeking clarification on Iran's potential participation in the talks.

Indirect talks between Hamas and the Israeli Zionist regime are scheduled to happen on Thursday.

The Israeli regime has launched an all-out war on the Gaza Strip since last October which has killed nearly 40,000 civilians thus far.

A group of senior officials of US President Joe Biden's administration, led by Bill Burns, the head of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), is planning to travel to the Middle East region for a ceasefire agreement and the release of prisoners.

The results of these talks will show whether the West Asia region will plunge into a deeper crisis and wider permanent war, or whether there will be a dramatic change of course for the first time since October 7, 2023. The outcome of these negotiations could shape Biden's legacy. 219
