Iran PressAfrica: Iran's President Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi, on the sidelines of the 7th meeting of the Assembly of Heads of Gas Exporting Countries in Algeria, held a meeting with the President of Bolivia, Luis Arce, this Saturday afternoon.

Iran's president stated that Bolivia's position in Latin America is special and inspiring for the nations of this region adding: "The Islamic Republic of Iran is greatly interested in promoting cooperation with the government of Bolivia. Raisi emphasized that commercial relations between the two countries should develop to the extent of the political ties between the two sides.

Raisi appreciated Bolivia's revolutionary and anti-imperialist stances, commended the political approach of the Bolivian government and President in supporting Palestine and the oppressed people of Gaza, emphasizing: "Your passionate defense of Palestine will be a good support for the people of this country."

In this meeting, Louis Arce also described the positions of the two countries on international issues as very close by stating that Bolivia considers the Islamic Republic of Iran as more than a country but as a friend and brother country."

The president of Bolivia stated: "After the genocide in Gaza, we severed our relations with Israel, and our internal and external enemies started negative propaganda and psychological warfare against our nation and government."

The two sides discussed developing cooperation in the fields of trade, energy, technical and engineering services, and agriculture in this meeting. 219
