Iran PressIran news: The spokesman of Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Nasser Kanaani, considered the approval of the UN Security Council resolution on the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip after six months of failure and inability to take a deterrent decision against the Israeli regime's war crimes and genocide against Palestinian citizens, a positive but insufficient step.

Kanaani added: "The more important step than the approval of this resolution is taking effective action for its implementation and a complete and permanent stop to the attacks of the aggressor Israeli regime against the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, the complete lifting of the cruel blockade of Gaza and the reopening of the crossings to send international humanitarian aid widely and without discrimination, Provision of international aid and financial resources for the immediate start of reconstruction of the ruins of the Gaza Strip, including houses, critical infrastructure, especially hospitals, and service centers.

Iran's top diplomat further considered the reaction of the child-killing Israeli regime to this resolution as an indication of this regime's clear anger over the irreparable failure in the field, political, and international arena, and added:

"It is expected that the United Nations Security Council will hold this regime accountable for the crimes committed against the homeless people of Palestine in the past six months and the possibility of its continuation in violation of the UN Security Council resolution."
