Iran Press/ Iran news: The international event was slated on Monday by the Iranian Minister of Education and the students of Shoush Martyrs in Shiraz, southern Iran, where Martyr Arsham Seraidaran was a student there.
Arsha was martyred in the Shiraz terrorist attack. An armed assailant member of the ISIS terrorist group on Wednesday, October 26, attacked Shah Cheragh, the holy shrine of Hazrat Ahmad bin Musa Shiraz, and left 15 people martyred, including 2 children and 30 wounded pilgrims.
The secretary of the festival says that so far, 2,473 works from outside of the country and 987 works from inside have been sent to the event.
Sadegh Yazdani said that, like in previous years, fiction, documentary, and animation films had reached the festival.
"But for the first time this year, due to the increase of multi-part films that are published in the virtual space, the 'web series' section has been added to the event, as well as the 'screenplay' to support the production of works as much as possible," he said.
The works are to be screened from Tuesday, November 29, 2022, in Tehran. Roshd International Film Festival is the oldest film festival in Iran. It is centered on films with educational and pedagogical themes and is staged every year by the Supplying Educational Media Center, a sub-branch of the Ministry of Education of Iran.
The festival seeks the main objectives of identifying and selecting the best educational and pedagogical films in order to introduce them to the educational systems.
