Iran Press/ Europe: Speakers in this conference called for the support of the oppressed Palestinian people and the realization of their rights at the global level.
That al-Quds is respectable for all religions and belongs to all divine religions, and the Israeli regime's attempts to completely Judaize al-Quds is doomed to failure was emphasized in the conference.
The speakers also criticized the news censorship of the Israeli regime's crimes against the Palestinians in the Italian media.
The intellectuals present at the World Quds Day conference considered the occasion a valuable legacy and a sign of Imam Khomeini's far-sightedness to remind the world of the oppression of the Palestinian people.
In the conference held in Rome, martyr Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani was also remembered as the international figure of the resistance and supporter of Palestine.
Mohammad Reza Sabouri, Iran's Ambassador to Italy, at the World Quds Day conference in Rome, referring to the seven decades of the Israeli regime's crimes against the oppressed Palestinian people, said: "Currently, more than 4,700 Palestinians are imprisoned in the Quds occupying regime's prisons where hundreds of prisoners are women and children.
Sabouri added: "The Zionist regime has martyred more than 300 Palestinians last year."
Also, at the end of this conference, the statement of anti-Israel Jewish rabbis was read out in support and celebration of Quds Day and condemnation of the Israeli regime.
Fabio De Mario, the head of the cultural-political association dubbed as 'the Fatherland' told Iran Press correspondent in Rome: "Quds Day is very important, because it turns everyone's attention to the issue of Palestine once again."
De Mario emphasized: "In a world that is becoming multipolar and where there are many centers of power, different cultures and civilizations, the time for Palestine's liberation will come.
The official of 'the Fatherland' Association said: "In the unipolar American and British world, the issue of Palestine was forgotten, but with the change of the world system, the issue of Palestine will be in the spotlight again."
Valerio Evangelisti, an Italian lawyer, in an interview with an Iran Press correspondent, emphasized the importance of Quds Day and said: "Quds Day is very important because of the support for the Palestinian nation. The Palestinian people have the right to decide their fate by holding a referendum."
