Iran Press/West Asia: In his Thursday night address, Sheikh Qassem stated, "We faced a criminal aggression intending to destroy the resistance, but we confronted the enemy with steadfastness." He emphasized that Israel sought to defeat the resistance, but the fighters thwarted this through the "Ouli al-Bass" (First of Steadfastness) operation, securing victory with divine support.
Key Factors of Victory
Sheikh Qassem highlighted three key factors behind the triumph:
Heroic Fighters: The remarkable steadfastness and self-sacrifice of resistance fighters on the frontlines.
Martyrs’ Sacrifices: The pure blood of martyrs, especially the sacrifice of prominent figures like Martyr "Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah," empowered their continued struggle.
Strategic Management: Effective restructuring and control mechanisms that successfully directed the operations.
He asserted that the victory was evident as Israel failed to achieve its goals. The ceasefire agreement, based on UN Resolution 1701, added no new provisions and upheld previous terms, including Israel's withdrawal from all Lebanese territories.
Post-War Challenges and Reconstruction
Sheikh Qassem acknowledged the severe damages inflicted on the resistance but expressed confidence in a gradual recovery. He stressed that Hezbollah would reflect on the crisis and lessons learned to emerge stronger.
Support for Palestine, Lebanon, and Syria
The Hezbollah leader reiterated the organization's unwavering commitment to supporting the Palestinian and Lebanese peoples' right to liberate their lands. He praised the sacrifices of displaced Lebanese and their hosts, recognizing their generosity and resilience amidst difficult conditions.
Addressing the Syrian crisis, Sheikh Qassem condemned the aggression as being orchestrated by Israel and the U.S., with extremist groups serving as their tools. He pledged Hezbollah's continued support for Syria in resisting this aggression.
Sheikh Qassem concluded by warning of Israel's expansionist ambitions and called on all to unite in supporting the resistance against these threats.
