Iran Press/ Iran news: Hazrat Fatemeh al-Zahrā (a) (d. 11/632) was the daughter of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and Lady Khadija (a) and the wife of Imam Ali (as). She is also a role model for all Muslim women.
Many Iranians take the occasion of this day to thank and honor their mothers, other women in their family, and colleagues. They pay tribute to them by giving them gifts.
Fatemeh means separated. She is named Fatemeh because her followers are separated from Hell because of her character. Zahra means 'shining, bright, and brilliant. The sixth Imam of Shia, Imam Sadiq (as), said: "When our mother Fatemeh Zahra prayed, she shined for the heavens as the stars shine for people on earth."
After the Prophet (PBUH) passed away, her beloved daughter passed away on the Jumada II 3, 11/August 26, 632 in Medina. The body of Fatemeh was buried in an unknown place. Since then, the location of her grave has not been revealed.

Dear young viewers, Once a year `Mother's Day' is observed in our country, commemorating the birth anniversary of Hazrat Fatemeh (A.S.), daughter of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)) and the founder of the Islamic Revolution, the late Imam Khomeini.
Hazrat Fatimah Zahra is a perfect symbol of affection and motherhood to Muslim believers. Thanks to having many virtues and dignities, she has left many lessons to be learned by all women throughout history.
On this particular day, we want her to know that we owe her everything, and although we failed to realize it at times or show gratitude, we do have our committed love for our mother, and we know that even we don't express it, she can feel our affections.
It is a beautiful way of expressing your feeling for your mothers who have brought you into this world, protected and given you all the love they had to raise you into fine, good human beings. So join in this lovely celebration.
