Iran Press/Iran News: Kazem Gharibabadi, on Thursday, referred to Rafael Grossi's acknowledgment of the Israeli regime's nuclear weapons on his X page. Rafael Grossi, in his speech at the Nobel Peace Prize Forum said, "On one side [Israel], the assumed presence of nuclear weapons looms in the background." Gharibabadi wrote, "The fact that the Director General of the Agency has, for the first time, admitted to the existence of nuclear weapons in the Israeli regime is significant and important. However, this acknowledgment places a heavy responsibility on him and the Agency. Mere admission is not enough; he must condemn the possession of such weapons by this criminal regime, demand their destruction, and call for the regime's accession to the Non-Proliferation Treaty."
Gharibabadi continued in his message: "On the other hand, Grossi's reference to the possibility of nuclear proliferation (by Iran) is a completely unprofessional and political stance. He cannot, based on probabilities and speculations, speak as he sees fit, like the political officials of countries with political motives."
"Iran remains committed to its safeguard obligations, and as long as unjust sanctions persist, it will not accept any inspections beyond its agreed commitments. Therefore, the Director General can report documented findings if he observes any diversion of nuclear material during the verification process, rather than publicizing his speculations," said Gharibabadi.
