Tehran(IP): The Secretary of the I.R of Iran's High Council for Human Rights considered the behavior of the Zionist regime against the Palestinian people as an instance of genocide and a war crime.

Iran PressIran News:  The Palestinian resistance forces have launched a comprehensive and unique operation called "Al-Aqsa Flood" from Gaza (southern Palestine) against the positions of the Zionist regime in the occupied territories.

The Zionist regime, which has been surprised by the Palestinian resistance on the battlefield and has suffered a disgraceful defeat in the past few days, has closed all the crossings of Gaza through an inhumane act.

Kazem Gharibabadi, The Secretary of the I.R of Iran's High Council for Human Rights, said in a special TV program that the Zionist regime's behavior and threats against the Palestinian people are examples of genocide, war crimes, and crimes against humanity. In terms of the International law the Palestinian people   have the right to legitimate defense.

The Secretary of the I.R of Iran's High Council for Human Rights added: "More than 7 decades have passed since the occupation and aggression of the Zionist regime, and about 7 million people have been displaced and refugees have been left behind by this occupation."

"Gharibabadi" also said: More than a hundred thousand innocent and oppressed Palestinians have been martyred, more than hundreds of thousands of Palestinians have been injured, Gaza and some other occupied Palestinian areas are under complete siege time and time again and the Zionist regime did not allow fuel, food, electricity and water to reach these areas.

"Gharibabadi"  then emphasized: "From a legal point of view, most western countries are trying to create an oppressed image for the Zionist regime."

Iran's Top Human rights official concluded: "Blocking food and water, destroying a population, inflicting severe physical injuries are crimes of genocide."
