No medals have been distributed in the Paris 2024 Olympics yet, but already some athletes present in this magnificent event have set special records.

Iran Press/Europe: Before the first Olympic medal is handed out, some athletes already stand out because of their impressive record. Others are the youngest in their field and maybe the oldest.

In Paris, like in the previous Olympics, the conditions are the same, and an event of this magnitude is outstanding in different fields with unique features.

The youngest athlete in the Olympics 2024

The youngest athlete

Every time a young footballer takes the world by storm, everyone jokingly asks themselves, what were we doing when we were 15, 16, or 17? Lamine Yamal, European champion at 17 with Spain, was one of the latest examples. The youngest athlete who qualified for the 2024 Paris Olympics has not yet celebrated his 12th birthday.

Zheng Haohao was born on August 11, 2012. It didn't take long for this skateboarder to realize his Olympic dream. He succeeds in everything very quickly. He just picked up a skateboard four years ago, a birthday present at the time. China has never sent such a young athlete to an Olympic period.

Swimmer Katie Ledecky

The most successful gold medalists in the Olympics

Two people share the title of the most gold holders in this year's event. Swimmer Katie Ledecky and equestrian Isabell Werth have won seven golds each. The American swimmer has unique records. She won his first gold medal at the age of 15 in the 800m freestyle at the London Games. The record holder did it again in 2016 and 2020.

In Rio, she won titles in the 200m freestyle, 400m freestyle and 4x200m freestyle. Five years later, in Tokyo, Ledecky settled for a medal thanks to her victory in the 1,500m freestyle, where she also holds the world record.

The most medalists in the Olympic games

Isabelle Werth is also the most honored athlete to qualify for Paris 2024. An impressive haul of seven gold medals won in 1992, 1996, 2000, 2008, 2016 and 2020 in team dressage. The German not only excelled at the collective level but also won the singles tournament in Atlanta.

In addition, the 54-year-old rider has won silver five times. A few weeks after winning a competition in Aachen, he is a serious candidate for another medal.

The highest number of presence in the games

It is very difficult to participate in 9 Olympics. There is nothing we can do about age, and eventually, we will give up. At the age of 55, Nino Salukvadze of Georgia is participating in the Olympic Games for the 10th time.

He will represent his country in 10 and 25-meter air pistol events. Together, they became the first mother-son duo to compete in the same Games.

The tallest athlete

The athlete's stature impressed Paris and France before its scale and talent were exported to the United States. Victor Vimbanyama impressed everyone with his height of 2m 24cm. The San Antonio Spurs center has a chance to dazzle the world on the Olympic stage.
