Iran Press/ Africa: The Iranian Minister of Oil, Javad Owji, and the Secretary General of the Assembly of Gas Exporting Countries (GECF), Mohammad Hamel, held a meeting in which the two sides discussed the establishment of a research institute of the Assembly of Gas Exporting Countries in Algeria to share technology and technical engineering services and to activate knowledge-based companies for member states.
In this meeting, there was also a discussion about giving the 2024 GECF award to the Oil Industry Research Institute in the field of collecting flare gases.
Sharing the experience of countries in the field of gas project management and cooperation among members to attract mutual investors, member interactions and strengthening the GECF secretariat, various marketing methods for natural gas, the transition period to low-carbon conditions and the role of gas in this era, and emphasizing the creation of non-political conditions on the market Gas and investment in the gas industry, as the most important source of energy supply in the world in the next few years, were other topics of discussion between Owji and Hamel.
At the end of this meeting, the Secretary General of the Assembly of Gas Exporting Countries also appreciated Iran's outstanding role in GECF and Iran's research efforts in the field of gas. 219
