Palestine (IP) - The Head of Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza says if the fuel of the electricity generators runs out, the hospital will turn into a collective cemetery.

Iran Press/ West Asia: Retaliating their blatant defeat during Operation Al-Aqsa Flood, the Israeli forces kicked off a comprehensive attack on the Gaza Strip, cutting off water and electricity to the Palestinian city.

Muhammad Salima stressed the emergency state in the Gaza Strip, urging for the creation of emergency corridors to help the civilians evacuate Gaza and transfer the injured out of the city.

Noting that the number of the injured surpassed the capacity of the hospital, Salima said that within just eight days, the number of victims and wounded has exceeded the total number of victims of the 51-day war in 2014.

The hospital is full and even the beds of the children's ward are used to treat the injured, he added.

The head of the Palestinian hospital called on the international bodies to provide Gaza with the essential medical equipment including hospital beds and medicine, setting up field hospitals, and ensuring the hospital's fuel supply.

As he says, the Red Cross and other international organizations are not able to act without the permission of the Israeli regime.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health reported that the number of Palestinian people killed reached 2,329, with 9,024 others being injured during the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip.
