Baghdad (IP) – Iranian Foreign Minister arrived in Iraq on Monday at the head of a political delegation after completing his visit to Qatar.

Iran PressIran news: During his two-day trip to Iraq, Mohammad-Javad Zarif will meet with his counterpart and other Iraqi officials. 

The spokesman for the Iraqi Foreign Ministry said Sunday that common issues and interests with Iran would be the focus of Zarif's meetings with Iraqi officials.

The Iranian foreign minister is also scheduled to meet officials of the Iraqi Kurdish region.

Before traveling to Iraq, Zarif discussed important mutual and regional issues and Iran's talks with the P4+1 with Qatari officials.

Zarif's visit to Qatar and Iraq is part of the development of inter-regional, regional, and trans-regional talks.
