Iran Press/ Iran news: Reacting to the Saudi move, the foreign ministry spokesman went on to highlight that although the Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has invited Iran as an active member of the OIC to attend the Jeddah summit, Saudi Arabia, hosting the Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, has violated rules and conventions by refusing to issue visas for Iranian diplomats wishing to attend the summit.
Mousavi added: "The process of preventing the delegation coming from some of the OIC member states including Iran, by Saudi Arabia has been intensified in recent months," Iran Press reported.
Mousavi also highlighted that Iran's Foreign Ministry has sent a formal protest note to the Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), which will be distributed among its members.
Referring to Saudi Arabia's misuse of the privileges for hosting OIC headquarters, Mousavi stressed that Iran's Foreign Ministry has expressed doubt over the competency of Saudi Arabia to act as OIC host.
US President Donald Trump's so-called 'Deal of the Century' also completely ignores the fundamental idea that Palestinians have the inalienable right to self-determination.
The plan goes against the provisions of UN security council Resolution No. 194, and many other security council resolutions.
