Vatican summons Zionist and US ambassadors to protest West Bank annexation

The Vatican government has summoned the ambassadors of the Zionist regime and the United States to protest the plan to occupy 30 percent of the occupied West Bank.

Iran PressEurope: Following the global protests over Israel's plan to occupy parts of the West Bank, Zionist and US ambassadors to the Vatican were summoned by the Foreign Ministry to be informed of Vatican's protest regarding the West Bank occupation plan.

Cardinal Pietro Parolin, the Vatican's foreign minister, summoned the ambassador of the Zionist regime, Oren David, and the ambassador of the United States, Kalista Gingrich, to inform them of the concerns of Pope Francis and the Church of Rome over the possible unilateral actions from the Vatican's point of view which can make it harder for them to achieve peace and making the situation in West Asia more sensitive.

The Vatican also called for continued peace talks.

The Zionist regime, with the support of the US government, had officially planned to occupy 30 percent of the West Bank since July 1, but with the opposition of the international community, the United Nations and most European countries, it postponed the plan.

The plan to occupy 30 percent of the West Bank is part of the US anti-Palestinian plan called 'deal of the century' and in this regard, Palestinian officials and groups have cut ties with the United States and Israeli regime.
