US behavior vis-à-vis JCPOA is very worrying: Russian Foreign Ministry

Russian Foreign Ministry spokesman called the US behavior on the issue of leaving the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) very worrying.

Iran PressEurope: Maria Zakharova on Friday at an Internet conference at the Moscow Diplomatic Club, where reporters asked questions and whose video was posted on YouTube, referred to the US withdrawal from international agreements, including the JCPOA, and called the move "very worrying that is leading to chaos in the international relations, especially in ensuring strategic stability."

Zakharova stated that the United States unilaterally and illegally withdrew from the Joint Comprehensive Action Plan (JCPOA) on Iran's nuclear program.

The Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman said no one was to blame for the implementation of the JCPOA, adding that there was no reason for the United States to withdraw.

The Russian official stated that the US government claims this international agreement (JCPOA) is no longer useful for them (US) and they do not consider this deal suitable and worthy for themselves, disregarding the deal which has been ratified by all participants.

"It is very worrying for us that it could turn into chaos, especially in the area of ??international security," Zakharova said.

Iran and the 5+1 reached a historic agreement in July 2015 to lift sanctions on Iran and to suspend some of its nuclear activities, but in May 2018, Trump unilaterally withdrew from the agreement and re-imposed sanctions.
