In men’s -75kg category, Bahman Asgari defeated Logan Da Costa from France, snatching a gold medal on Sunday and retaining his top position in the world rankings. He also secured a spot in the 2020 Olympics.
Hamideh Abbasali also won another gold medal in the +68kg category after beating Turkey’s Meltem Hocaoglu Akyol.
Also in men’s +84kg class, Saleh Abazari bagged a bronze medal, giving Iran a total of three medals.
The World Karate Premier League which had started on Friday with the presence of 703 karate athletes from 92 countries in Paris, France, ended late on Sunday.
