The Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) Spokesman Abdel Latif al-Qanua

Gaza (IP) - The Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) Spokesman stressed that the time has come for the international community to lift the siege of Gaza forever, especially in the wake of the Coronavirus outbreak.

Iran PressMiddle East: The Spokesman of Hamas Abdel Latif al-Qanua said on Tuesday that as the world has assigned a global day for health, the world must see how cruel sanctions prevent essential medical items from entering Gaza to fight the Coronavirus.

"It is time for the international community to lift the siege of Gaza and provide the people of the region with the necessary medicine and equipment to fight the Coronavirus," Al-Qanua stressed.

In its latest report, the Palestinian Ministry of Health announced the registration of 9 new cases of the Coronavirus infection and the increase of the infected people to 226.

So far, 13 people have infected with the Coronavirus in the Gaza Strip, 6 of whom have recovered and the rest are in good condition.

Since the victory of the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) in the 2006 parliamentary elections, the Israeli regime has put a blockade on Gaza Strip and prevented the entry of basic goods such as fuel, food, medicine and construction materials into the region.
