Two American personnel and one from Britain were killed, and about a dozen people were wounded when 15 small rockets hit Iraq’s Taji military camp north of Baghdad on Wednesday, two US officials told Reuters, citing preliminary information.

Iran Press/Middle East: The officials, speaking on the condition of anonymity, said that about a dozen coalition personnel had also been injured in the attack. They stressed that this was initial information and could change.

Citing two unnamed US officials, Reuters reported that based on preliminary information, about a dozen coalition members had also been injured in the Wednesday attack against Iraq's Taji military camp, located some 30 kilometers north of Baghdad.

The US military presence in Iraq has become a hot-button issue in the country since a US drone bombed and assassinated Lieutenant General Qasem Soleimani Iran's top counter-terrorism commander and PMF leader Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis near Baghdad international airport on Friday 3 January 2020.
