Damascus (IP) - The Minister of Education of the Islamic Republic of Iran Mohsen Haji Mirzaei announced his country's readiness to participate in the reconstruction of Syrian schools.

Iran Press/Middle East: On arrival at Damascus Airport, the Minister of Education told reporters, "Given Iran's experience in rebuilding, renovation, and equipping training units and facilities, we are ready to cooperate with Syria and transfer our expertise to this country."

The Iranian Minister of Education stated: "Bilateral cooperation between Iran and Syria in the field of education will lead to the formation of a common culture between the two nations, which are undoubtedly the main base of the Islamic Resistance School," Iran Press reported.

Mohsen Haji Mirzaei arrived in Damascus, the Syrian capital on Tuesday night. He is scheduled to meet with the Syrian Minister of Education Imad al-Azeb to discuss an agreement that is going to be signed by the two Education Ministers in Damascus.  

The Iranian minister of education will also meet with Syrian Prime Minister Imad Khamis, Parliament Speaker Hammouda Sabbagh and Syrian Minister of Higher Education Bassam Ibrahim.
