Iran Press/Middle East: The Speaker of Iranian Parliament Ali Larijani said: "The decisions of the Joint Economic Commission of the two countries with the presence of the Omani Minister of Commerce in Iran was very positive."
"We hope that these decisions will soon be implemented thanks to the efforts of Iranian and Omani businessmen and investors", Larijani added.
For his part, Speaker of Oman's Consultative Assembly (Shura Council) said, Oman accepts the positions of the Islamic Republic of Iran, which are being expressed in the words of its officials.
Khalid ibn Hilal al-Maouli added, "Undoubtedly, the Islamic Republic of Iran is a strategic country in the region and has important political and economic capabilities. Oman is proud of its exceptional and brotherly relations with the Islamic Republic at all levels, and this is of interest to Sultan Qaboos and the people of Oman."

According to Khalid bin Hilal al-Mouli, Oman will continue bilateral talks with the Islamic Republic of Iran aimed at enhancing political and economic relations.
The Speaker of the Iranian Parliament, Ali Larijani, traveled to Turkey on Saturday 14th December to attend the 12th General Assembly of the Asian Parliaments.
Iran and Oman have a long history of good political and economic relations. Their ties have expanded in recent years due to extended banking cooperation.
Oman also acted as an intermediary between Iran and the United States during Barack Obama’s presidency.
