Tehran (IP) - Iran's Minister of Roads and Urban Development Mohammad Eslami and the Omani Minister of Commerce and Industry, Ali bin Masoud al Sunaidy signed an agreement on maritime cooperation on Sunday.

Iran Press/Iran news: Iran's Minister of Roads and Urban Development Mohammad Eslami and the Omani Minister of Commerce and Industry, Ali bin Masoud al Sunaidy signed an agreement in the field of maritime transport, and trade as well as shipping cooperation.

The agreement is also aimed at paving the ground for the expansion of the maritime cooperation between Iran and Oman.

The topics including shipping security, facilitating the arrival-departure of passenger ships of the two sides, together with protecting the marine environment, marine rescue operation, as well as promoting Iran-Oman naval vessels on the basis of equality, reciprocal benefits in accordance with international agreements have all been addressed in the agreement.

Iran-Oman maritime transport agreement has been signed in the Islamic Republic of Iran Road and Urban development ministry, in Tehran on Sunday afternoon December 8th, 2019.
