Iran Press/ Middle East: The Iraqi Foreign Ministry rejected the joint statement by the European ambassadors in Baghdad, saying the ambassadors' statement after meeting with the outgoing Iraqi Prime Minister Adil Abdul Mahdi was a clear interference in Iraqi internal affairs and a breach of diplomatic relations.
The Iraqi Foreign Ministry said that the joint statement by Britain, France, and Germany was issued without coordination with the Iraqi Foreign Ministry.
The Iraqi Foreign Ministry also summoned the Canadian ambassador.
Embassies of Germany, France, and Britain in Baghdad have issued an interventionist statement calling on Adil Abdul Mahdi to ensure the security of Iraqi protesters.
The European Troika embassies called on the outgoing Iraqi Prime Minister to carry out urgent investigations into the killings of protesters and punish those responsible for their killings.
