Iran's Art exhibition dubbed 'Afarinesh' (meaning creation in Persian) has kicked off in the Omani capital, Muscat.

Iran Press/Middle East: The Afarinesh exhibition showcases the different works and canvases by Iranian artist Jalal Habibi, including the reliefs on the adobe, gypsum as well as woodwork, together with paintings, and the calligraphies for those who are interested in the arts.

The two artistic works called Creation and the Culture of World's Religion," depicting the Quranic stories and themes representing the intertwined lines carved on wood are also among the showcased works, Iran Press reported.

Iran's ambassador to Oman, Mohammad Reza Nouri Shahroudi while welcoming the cultural and artistic event aimed at introducing Iran's deep-rooted culture and art to other nations of the world, stressed that "getting inspiration from God' s name, Holy Quran and the colorful nature created by the Almighty in art, is a source of pride for Iran's culture, and it will last forever." 

Speaking to a group of Omani diplomats and officials, participating in the event, Nouri Shahroudi said showing Iran's culture and art to other nations is absolutely essential, displaying Iran's rich art to other nations would bring them closer together.

The event has been organized by the Islamic Republic of Iran's cultural attaches as well as the private sector, showcasing Iranian handicrafts, including enameling, copper works together with inlaid works, which are all on public display in Muscat. 101/211
