Mohammad Javad Zarif wrote on Thursday that those who claim to be partners in the UN Security Council resolution have already ended their partnership.

Iran Press/Iran News: Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif in response to the US government in his tweet said: "Those seeking to clear Coronavirus by injecting disinfectants also argue that they are "participating" in the UN Security Council resolution.

According to Zarif, they (the Americans) are claiming to be partners in the Security Council resolution while they have ended their partnership a long time ago.

Majid Takht Ravanchi, Iran's permanent representative to the United Nations, said in response to Pompeo's efforts to extend Iran's arms embargo: "The United States has no evidence that it is still a participant in the UN Security Council resolution.

Iran's top envoy to UN wrote in a Twitter message: "Pompeo claims that under United Nations Security Council Resolution 2231, the United States is a "participant," while Resolution 2231 refers to  "participants in the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) ."

Takht Ravanchi went on to say: "He (Pompeo) deletes the reference to "JCPOA" because his boss announced on May 8, 2018 "the cessation of US participation in JCPOA."

Iran's Permanent Representative to the United Nations also said: "For this reason, the United States has no legal justification for being a "participant."

Mike Pompeo after seeing the US regime's policy of economic, political and military terrorism against the Iranian people ineffective, arguing based on the terrorist foundation for the defense of democracy, claims that the US is still a participant in UN Security Council Resolution 2231, thus it could accuse Iran of violating its commitments and calling for the return of Security Council sanctions, especially the extension of arms embargoes against Iran.
