The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said on Wednesday that it has successfully launched a military satellite into orbit.

Iran Press/Iran News: 'Noor', as the first military satellite of the Islamic Republic of Iran, launched on Wednesday morning and placed it into the orbit at an altitude of 425km.

The satellite launch was carried out on the anniversary of the establishment of the IRGC.

The late founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran Imam Khomeini, in a decree to the Revolution Council on April 22, 1979, officially announced the establishment of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps. 101
