Iran Press/Iran News: The container shipping line, launched with an Iranian ship, runs twice a week on the way between Bandar Abbas and the port of Sultan Qaboos in Muscat, the capital of Oman, on a regular basis.
The ship, which is also capable of carrying a variety of refrigerator containers, has provided a good opportunity for traders and producers of Iranian export products to send commercial shipments and basic goods needed by Oman to Muscat via Bandar Abbas.
Direct access to the Oman capital market and 86 other ports from 40 countries, together with customs facilities and not docking at other ports in the region such as Sharjah before arriving in Oman and conducting administrative ceremonies in Sultan Qaboos port are among the advantages of the newly established shipping line.
Earlier, a direct sea route between Iran and Oman had been established through Bandar Abbas to the port of Sohar, 200 km from the Oman capital.
