Tehran (IP) - The Health Ministry Spokesman released the latest data on the coronavirus infections for the past 24 hours at a press conference, saying that 9,625 people have recovered and discharged from the hospitals since the outbreak of coronavirus in Iran.

Iran Press/Iran News: In a daily press conference that was held at the Health Ministry on Wednesday, Kianoush Jahanpour said that 2,206 newly-confirmed cases and 143 more people have been died because of the novel coronavirus during the past 24 hours.

Given the latest figures of the Health Ministry, the total number of people diagnosed with the coronavirus has reached 27,017  people, out of whom 2,077 people died. 

"As of this morning, more than 41 million people have participated in Coronavirus Screening Plan," Jahanpour said.

According to Spokesman, so far, more than 47,5 million have been screened for COVID-19 in the country and the National Mobilization Plan Against Coronavirus is underway in the country and is a successful model for other countries.

"People should visit salamat.gov.ir to keep themselves, their families and those around them healthy," he underscored.
