Iranian security official heads to Baghdad

Tehran (IP) - An Iranian delegation headed by the Secretary of the country’s top national security body left Saturday 7 March, for Baghdad to hold talks with the Iraqi counterpart. 

Iran Press/Iran news: During the visit, has been with the invitation of Iraqi side, Iranian Secretary Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) Ali Shamkhani Shamkhani will meet with senior Iraqi officials, including President Barham Salih, caretaker prime minister Adil Abdul-Mahdi and Iraqi Parliament Speaker Mohammed al-Halbousi on bilateral political, security and economic issues.

Meetings with Iraqi Officials and leaders of Iraqi political currents are among other plans of Shamkhani during his visit to Iraq.
