Tehran (IP) - Iran Health Minister announced a nationwide plan to diagnose infected patients with Coronavirus with the cooperation of medical staff, Basij Forces, Red Crescent staff and related organizations across the country.

Iran PressIran news: Iran Health Minister Saeed Namaki said in a news conference on Thursday after the sixth meeting of the National Headquarters for Coronavirus Disease Management: Today we approved several bills to fight the Coronavirus with the cooperation of related organizations as a nationwide plan to diagnose infected patients with Coronavirus.

He said: This a successful plan. We discussed it with World Health Organization experts in Tehran. They welcomed the plan and described it as one of the best ones. We believe that if we can run it correctly we can contain the outbreak of the virus.

Namaki added that this is a successful plan and we are going to isolate the infected patients from healthy people, it would be a successful plan in the world

Health Minister said that schools and universities are closed for two weeks (till the end of the Iranian Year and Before the new year holiday which schools and universities are also closed for two weeks) and ask people to refrain from travel and stay at home and take this advice seriously.

"We are passing a special year, and if people don’t act in a special manner, we should deal with coronavirus for a long time," Namaki stressed.

Expressing his gratitude to Iran's medical staff who are fighting with the spread of coronavirus, Iran's Health Minister noted that the help of the Basij Force and NGOs is an important factor in containing coronavirus.
