Tehran (IP) - On a trip to Iran, the WHO representative appreciated the efforts of Iran's health system in dealing with coronavirus.

Iran Press/Iran News: Christoph Hamelmann, World Health Organization (WHO) Representative referred to his recent visit, accompanied by Chinese experts, from Iran's hospitals, saying Chinese experts have been impressed by Iran's healthcare services.

He said that healthcare centers are an important matter in Iran.

"Iran has one of the best healthcare systems in West Asia," Hamelmann underlined.

Iran's Health Ministry has announced that containing the novel coronavirus is in a positive direction.

The outbreak of coronavirus has had wide effects on the economy and livelihood of the people in the United States and European countries

California Gov. Gavin Newsom declared a state of emergency on Wednesday after reported the first death from coronavirus in the state.

The US has reported more than 150 COVID-19 cases, including 53 in California.
