Iran Press/ Iran news: Concurrent with National Tree Planting Day, Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei plants trees each year.
The Leader called the act of planting saplings on the National Day of Planting Trees a symbolic one, aimed at enhancing the culture of valuing trees.
National Tree Planting Day, is annually celebrated on the fifteenth day of Esfand, the last month on the Iranian calendar, which usually corresponds to 5 March. The day marks the beginning of National Week of Natural Resources (March 5-12).
