Iranian foreign ministry spokesman, Seyyed Abbas Mousavi

Tehran (IP) - The Iranian foreign ministry spokesman, Seyyed Abbas Mousavi has said Tehran has always been suspicious and doubtful of Washington's intentions.

Iran PressIran news: The foreign ministry spokesman added: "We have always doubted and continue to doubt US intentions."

Mousavi added: "If their intentions were good faith, and they really wanted to help Iran with the coronavirus outbreak, they wouldn't have leaked it to the media and press before they actually did anything. We are watching the US administration carefully and watch their every move. As far as the coronavirus is concerned, Washington put out false stories, fake news, and false statistics with regards to the spread of the virus in Iran."

Mousavi cautioned by saying: "Because we doubt their intentions, we are not counting on America's assistance, and we are not prepared to accept any words of encouragement from the Americans."
