Deputy Health Minister: 900 suspicious cases of Coronavirus exist

Tehran (IP) - Deputy Health Minister Iraj Harirchi stated on Monday that 900 people are suspicious of Coronavirus in Iran.

Iran Press/Iran news: Referring to the number of those diagnosed with Coronavirus, Deputy Health Minister Iraj Harirchi stated on Monday in a news conference alongside the Government spokesman Ali Rabiei, "Currently, the number of people diagnosed with coronavirus has reached 59 to 61. "

"We'll announce the exact numbers by the end of this session. Of these numbers, 12 have died. The number of those suspicious of having Coronavirus is about 900," he added.

Referring to the government's efforts to counter the outbreak of Coronavirus, he said, "We have put groups in places since the outbreak of the Virus in China. We have missioned hospitals for this purpose, and we have been prepared in terms of providing training materials and notifying people."

Deputy Health Minister went on saying: "Now, in the current situation, given the stability achieved in Qom and some cities, we hope to tackle this problem."

"The needed trains have been given to the medical personnel. Qom and other cities are stable not in the red situation; the issue must not be politicized, it is a national matter," Harirchi said, adding that: "There is no need to attack others. We have closed universities and schools in order to limit traffic and communications; however, traveling to Gilan province has increased traffic by 20%."

He asked people to stay at home and restrain unnecessary trips or communications.
