Tehran (IP) - The Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei has said the Iranian nation shined well in the great test of the elections, scuppering a comprehensive media propaganda campaign by the enemies and thwarting their opportunism.

Iran Press/ Iran News: In the beginning of the Dars-e Kharij lecture, Ayatollah Khamenei stressed that in relation to enemy plots and schemes which seek to undermine the pillars of the country, everyone must be alert and ready to defend the country and be ready to hit back at the enemy.

Ayatollah Khamenei, referring to the negative and massive machination of foreign media against the participation of people in the elections, pointed out, "This negative propaganda started a few months ago and increased to the very day of elections and in the last two days under the pretext of a disease and virus, their media did not miss the slightest opportunity to discourage people from voting.

The Leader of the Islamic Revolution thanked God Almighty and deeply appreciated the widespread participation of people in the elections despite this biased propaganda, saying, "God has determined this nation to be victorious."

The Leader stated the hostility of the enemies against the Iranian people is not limited to the economic, cultural and religious and revolutionary beliefs of the people of Iran, adding, "They are even opposed to the Iranian people's election because they do not want the phenomenon of people's participation in the name of religion at the ballot box and in the service of the Islamic Revolution to be recorded as a reality."

Ayatollah Khamenei said the holding of elections in the Islamic system discredits the enemy's claim that religion is opposed to freedom and democracy and stressed that elections in the Islamic Republic show that religion is the perfect manifestation of holistic democracy and holding 37 elections in over 41 years, highlights the unique Islamic system's attention to democracy.

The Leader of the Islamic Revolution, inviting everyone to recognize the enemy and be vigilant against it, emphasized that thousands of individuals are involved in enemy activities targeting Iran and various Iranian issues, and thus it is necessary that millions of Iranians must be ready to defend this country, and strike back and hit back at enemy propaganda in all sorts of issues.
