Iran Press/ Iran news: Iranian member of the 10th round of parliament and spokesman for the presiding board Behrouz Nemati in an exclusive interview with Iran Press News Agency said: "people's participation in the elections would contributes to a greater degree of security in the country."
He went on to say: "It is necessary for all political parties and all the people to have a serious presence in the elections due to the importance of their participation for the authority of Iran and Iranians against the enemies."
The Iranian Parliament, officially known as the Islamic Consultative Assembly, is a 290-seat legislative body with 207 constituencies. Its members are elected every four years, and former and current members can be re-elected.
On the other hand, the Assembly of Experts of the Leadership is a deliberative body of 88 theologians tasked with choosing the Leader of the Islamic Revolution. Members of the Assembly are elected every eight years.
