Government Spokesman Ali Rabiei

Tehran (IP) - Speaking at a news conference on Wednesday, Ali Rabiei the government spokesman, responded to Brian Hook's claims about alleged lack of democratic elections in Iran, saying the turnout for Iran's parliamentary elections will definitely be higher than the turnout for US Congressional elections.

Iran Press/Iran news: Responding to a question from the Iran Press news agency regarding Bryan Hook's remarks, Rabiei added, "Bryan Hooke's claim is not new. He and his comrades believed that Iran would never celebrate the 40th anniversary of the victory of the Islamic revolution and the political establishment will collapse, but that did not happen and his prediction turned out to be false."

We do our best to avoid being blacklisted by the FATF

The government spokesman added: "We are doing everything we can to stop Iran from being included in the FATF blacklist and our efforts are continuing in this regard. Ironically, those countries who are the biggest sponsors of terrorism are the ones who want Iran to be blacklisted."

In further remarks, Ali Rabiei said: "The official number of those who lost their lives in last November's unrest and rioting in Iran will be officially announced within the next few days."

There is no sign of coronavirus in Iran

He also said that there is no sign of coronavirus in Iran and if even one case happens, definitely it will be declared, and the media, particularly IRIB should give more information in this regard.
