Judiciary should convene special tribune over Ukrainian plane crash: Rouhani

Tehran (IP) - Iran's President Hassan Rouhani said on Tuesday that Iran's Judiciary should convene a special tribune to investigate more on the Ukrainian plane crash incident.

Iran Press/Iran News: The Boeing 737-800 plane belonging to Ukraine International Airlines crashed near Tehran just minutes after the plane had taken-off from Imam Khomeini International Airport on Wednesday morning.

All the 167 passengers and 9 crew members on board the plane were killed in this tragic incident. 

Iranian President extended his deep condolences saying that Iran's Armed Forces have co-operated well to find out the only way to seek truth in this regard which ended up with the result saying the painful unforgivable mistake has been made.

Calling the incident a very heavy burden for the people to tolerate, Rouhani explained further that if the plane crash was out of the technical deficiencies again was considered as the sorrowful event but when it was revealed that it happened out of human mistake people's sorrow was doubled.

President Rouhani promised that the government will track the case as an important one with all the means and might.

"This is a very important issue," the president said, adding, "The judiciary should convene a special tribune with a high-ranking judge and dozens of experts. This is not a normal case and the whole world will follow the case in our court”.

"I also urge all members of the government to stand by these dear families to solve their problems, and I urge the dear people of Iran to show their sympathy with these dear ones, both in Tehran and in other cities,” he said.
