Iran, IAEA discuss JCPOA, nuclear deal

Iranian ambassador to international organizations in Vienna, Kazem Gharib-Abadi, and director-general of International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Rafael Grossi, met in Vienna, Austria on Monday discussing latest developments regarding the Iran nuclear agreement.

Iran Press/Iran news: They also negotiated the bilateral relationship between Tehran and the UN nuclear watchdog in 2020, according to the website of Iran's permanent mission in Vienna.

The meeting came as Iran took its fifth step on January 5 in scaling back of its obligations under the nuclear deal and will no longer observe any restriction in the number of centrifuges after the US unilaterally withdrew from the agreement in 2018 and re-imposed sanctions.

Iran says it is ready to resume its obligations if the sanctions are lifted and also is committed to cooperation with IAEA.
