The second Trumpism International Cartoon and Caricature Contest-2019 wrapped up on Saturday, 11 January 2020, in Tehran with a speech by the director-general of the Holy Defense Museum, Mohammad Reza Jafari-Jelveh.

Iran Press/Iran News: Jafari-Jelveh thanked all artists from all over the world who participated in the contest with their works, adding that all artists who took part showed their concerns with regards to Donald Trump's acts and behaviors. He expressed hope the gallery and contest could highlight legitimate concerns about the systematic abuse of human rights by the Trump administration and Donald Trump's authoritarian behavior.

Massoud Shojaei Tabatabaei the organizer of the event said: "Based on Trump's acts including Islamophobia, terrorism, and human rights violations we organized this gallery which was interesting for foreign artists. In the first contest, 76 foreign artists took part which greatly irritated and angered Western and US mainstream media."

He pointed out: "In the second Trumpism contest, even larger numbers of artists participated in the competition. We mostly received works from European and Latin American artists in this gallery and contest."

According to Shojaei Tabatabaei, cyberspace helped in advertising and the vast distribution of artistic works that went on public display.

Chairman of the foundation of the preserving values of works of the Holy Defense era, Brigadier General Karegar also thanked all who have taken part in this contest and gallery. 101/205/211
